Season Sets Sail at Somers Yacht Club

The start of the sailing season at Somers Yacht Club is always a highlight of the year, and this year’s Opening Night was no exception. Members, families, and friends came together to celebrate a new season on Western Port, one that promises great sailing, strong competition, and plenty of time spent on the water.

As proud sponsors of Somers Yacht Club, we were honoured to take part in the evening, with Andrew Wright invited to officially open the 2025–26 sailing season. Andrew spoke about his family’s long-standing connection to Somers and reflected on the warmth and inclusivity that continue to define the club. He also shared how those same values of community spirit, connection to the coast and a love of life on the water are at the heart of everything we do. Our decade-long support of Somers’ youth sailing programs reflects that commitment, helping nurture confidence, teamwork and a lifelong appreciation for the sea in the next generation of sailors.
